Thursday 21st December Theme: Women Of God -> Mary the Mother of Christ Silent Night https://youtube.com/watch?v=9T4WB2zfmps Come To The River https://youtube.com/watch?v=Rhb3I7_Qgi8 Luke 1 v26:30 https://biblestudytools.com/luke/passage/?q=luke+1:26-30 Holy Lord, you saw favour in your daughter Mary, that she might conceive of the Holy Spirit Your Son. Her composure and courage are an example to all of us, her commitment to do the Lord's will is a path we should all follow. When given the opportunity by You, God, Mary moved. Help us take lessons in all of these things, Lord, to think of them as the day of Christmas approaches. Your Son, Your life won the victory, for Your glory and for the coming Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. Amen. Thursday 14th December Theme: Women Of God -> Abigail Came To My Rescue Majesty 1 Samuel 25 v2:42 O Lord, to know You is to love You. You have placed the truth on our lips and in our hearts, yet listening and obeying is a stumbling block if we stop and think about it. Your ways are higher, Your truth the true truth, the ONLY truth. A man of standing may have cause to think himself righteous, yet if his righteousness causes him to denude the King of Israel, then what benefit is it to him? Lord, in this time of strife we pray that You keep Your children on the straight and narrow path, that we can help each other to reach the highest place, where Your love and worship knows no bounds, where the praises of Your people stretches from horizon to horizon, day after day. Amen. https://youtube.com/watch?v=_UglO7SGUWk Thursday 7th December Theme: Women Of God -> Elizabeth I Can Only Imagine https://youtube.com/watch?v=0xwzItqYmII Closer Than You Know https://youtube.com/watch?v=cHBd-V167Mg Luke 1 v39:45 http://bible.oremus.org/?passage=Luke+1:39-45 Holy Lord, how wonderful Your works in all the world. Thank you for Your blessings, Your equipping, Your comfort, Your love. Help us, Lord, be responsive to Your servants, to be bold in our proclamation and testimony of Your goodness, to be in agreement with Your purpose in the life of Your church. Guide us, we pray, in the grace of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who changed the world and the way forever, making a way that would allow us to come to You, Heavenly Father. You hear our cries, bless us in transport and are most excellent in Your ways. All glory and honour to You, King of Kings, amen. Thursday 30th November Theme: Women Of God -> Lydia Wonderful Grace Of Jesus https://youtube.com/watch?v=BVcXXsjD5FI Consuming Fire https://youtube.com/watch?v=8iT0IvcEHjM Acts 16 v9:15 http://bible.oremus.org/?passage=Acts+16:9-15&version=nrsv Acts 16 v40 http://bible.oremus.org/?passage=Acts+16:40&version=nrsv Studies here, https://gotquestions.org/Lydia-in-the-Bible.html here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lydia_of_Thyatira and here http://dailyprayer.us/daily_devot…/women-of-the-bible-lydia/ Lord we thank you for Your daughter, Lydia. She was brave and compassionate, a woman of substance. She surrendered her heart to You. Where this world sells complete independence, she chose to honour You above all else, to become totally dependent on You. Heavenly Father, today we ask You to break the bonds that bind Your daughters to the mindset of the selfish, to expose the ruse of the Enemy to fix them apart. We ask this that they can come to You, can be saved by You, can be lifted by You, in the wonderful, precious and matchless name of Jesus. Amen. Thursday 23rd November Theme: Women Of God -> Esther Heart Of Worship Hosanna Esther 2 v12:23 Studies here, here and here. Our Father in Heaven, How marvelous Your name in all the earth. In your daughter, Esther, we see a young woman who trusted in You completely, who was raised to be so, who honoured You, who honoured her adopted father, who honoured her husband. In return You honoured her and showed her favour to win through your people, to loosen the fetters of persecution and captivity. Today, Lord, we pray for your daughters, that they can minister effectively for Your Kingdom, that they can be specially prepared to carry out the works of Your hands, that they be given words, sustenance, position and authority to do Your will. When You were manifest in this world as Your Son, Jesus, You showed favour to such as Esther in your company, let us celebrate, honour and pray for the courageous women of God in Your name, Amen. Thursday 16th November Theme: Women Of God -> Rahab You Raise Me Up Every Move I Make Joshua 2 , Hebrews 11 v31 Study here.? Lord of Heaven, King of the Jews, Rabbi, Father God, blessed is Your name above all names, merciful and mighty are You to hold and to save. Though we enter into a dark time with certain destruction, our only hope for survival is to look for, is to trust, is to place our entire hope in You, Rock of Ages. Through the knowledge and acceptance of the birth, life, death and resurrection of the Son, Jesus Christ, through searching the scriptures, through accepting and following the lead, advice and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Through moving swiftly when you bid us move, through waiting patiently when you bid us stay. Through honouring You as God alone. Holy Lord, You are over all the Heavens and the Earth. You shall return and every knee shall bow and every tongue confess You as Lord. Before that time let us take up your yoke and bear it gladly in worship, singing and rejoicing, for all that you have done, for all that You have saved us from certain destruction. Amen. ?https://youtube.com/watch?v=ECad_5jSduQ ?https://youtube.com/watch?v=Gqrli3Lkf58 Thursday 9th November Theme: Women Of God -> Mary, sister of Martha My Wonderful Lord Wonderful Grace Of Jesus Luke 10 v38:42 Precious Lord, our Father in Heaven, here is a lesson for all of us. In this world we can be easily cumbered and overburdened in work and busyness. As the disciples who were hard at the oars when You walked on the water, we can be distracted to the point where You may pass us by. Help us, dear Lord, be mindful of You, to put time aside for You, to come to You. Any time spent with You is a blessing, You never see us short measured for anything good. O Jesus! O for grace to trust You more! Amen! https://youtube.com/watch?v=-DdgkvnsHjM Thursday 2nd November Theme: Women Of God -> Sarah Shout To The North Revive Us Genesis 18 v9:15 , Hebrews 11 v10:12 , 1 Peter 3 v3:6 ? Lord God, the God of Israel, the God of Jerusalem, the Maker of Heaven and Earth, we glorify You, You alone are worthy of all praise. In Your daughter Sarah, you not only blessed her with a child in her dotage, but You also forgave her of her sin in doubting Your power. It is written that You will place our sins far from us, as far as East is from the West, that You will remember them no more. There is no God like You, Lord, thank You for setting us captives free, may we honour Your gift with recognition, remembrance and praise. You are worthy, worthy, worthy. Hallelujah. Amen. ?https://youtube.com/watch?v=ECad_5jSduQ Friday 27th October Theme: Women Of God -> The Archetype Be Still My Soul ?I Give Myself Away Proverbs 31 v10:31 Studies here, here (scroll to the bottom) and here. Holy Lord and heavenly Father, here we see the template for the perfect woman. For God first, for her husband second and her family third. In all of this, and more, she becomes, herself, a figure of splendour, beauty and standing. In this modern age, Lord, the Enemy has painted a woman of headstrong independence, free from all responsibilities other than those that serve herself. Today, Lord, we lift up a prayer for Your daughters, for overcoming and awakening, for a return to virtue and rightness, in thought, deed and prayer. Without them, we are lost. You are the great emancipator and true redeemer, let the truth of this responsibility propagate throughout Your Kingdom, in Jesus's mighty name. https://youtube.com/watch?v=C6WexG9uAJI? Thursday 19th October Theme: Women Of God -> Ruth He Who Would Valiant Be Oceans Ruth 3 Lord God, the Rock of Ages, the Lord of Lords. We are nothing without Your presence. It is You we serve. If we did not worship You the stones would cry out. Heavenly Father, what we pray for today, and all days, is a rightness of spirit. As we go about our day, it is You that we try and worship, it is You that we try and honour, it is You that we seek. Yet all of our works and deeds are as filthy rags to You. We are only released by Your Son lest any man should boast. Reveal Yourself in our walk today Lord, that we may know You better and serve You better. Though You want us to walk as sons and daughters, friends in paradise, we will also and forever be Your servants, rejoicing in what You have done in us and for us, Lord God of Israel. Amen. ?https://youtube.com/watch?v=eFByOX8Fb0M Wednesday 4th October Theme: Women Of God -> The Samaritan Woman You Are My All In All What A Beautiful Name John 4 v1:26 Heavenly Father, Your Son, Jesus, was the living water. He was the perfect sacrifice, sufficient and sent to atone for the sins of a wayward nation and a wayward people. He was what had been promised and so much more than what was expected, He truly set all the captives free. In our walk and in our day, Lord, keep us mindful of the things of Your Son. His perfect attitude, His perfect way, that we might emulate His love, compassion, mercy and forgiveness. Not to create a facsimile, but a true acceptance and authority of Your divine nature in our lives. It is Jesus who came to give us salvation, it is Jesus who died that we might live, it is Jesus in whose name we pray, amen.
