Saturday 15th April Theme: Lent: Easter King Of Kings, Majesty  And Can It Be Luke 23 v33:56 Dear Lord, As I reflect on your suffering at Easter I praise you O Lord for what you did for me to free me from sin. For you was lonely, sorrowful, troubled, tempted, anguished, seized, disowned, betrayed, bound, falsely accused, rejected, sneered, mocked, beaten, spat at, slapped, struck, rejected, scourged to name but some of them. For me dear Lord. So we thank you Lord that through your sacrifice and your life working in us we can find freedom, healing, peace and your changing love as adopted children. Let us move ever closer to you Lord. In Jesus's name. Amen https://youtube.com/watch?v=YqjivEw7gzE Saturday 8th April Theme: Lent: The Cross At The Cross At The Cross The Cross Matthew 27 v45:54 Dear Lord. As you journeyed to the cross you had such an onslaught of physical, emotional, spiritual and mental abuse yet you did not turn around but remained firm. In such a situation we can only gasp and realise in part what you went through. We personalise it and say for me. Truly you are the model for my life, my saviour, my sacrifice, my king. To you alone we can look up to because there is no one else like you. And so may this sacrifice change me each day to be like you in word and deed although still a long way off perfection. Let me live for you Lord. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Amen. ? Saturday 1st April Theme Lent: Temptation Luke 22 v39:46 Matthew 6 v9:13 I Surrender Desert Song Dear Lord, As we see you praying against temptation and seeking for the discipline to pray against temptation, so Lord we come to you to pray to lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. The greatest weapon we have is prayer, so we pray today for our lives to hold firm and be strengthened in prayer. Help us dear Lord to do this, help us in our weaknesses to overcome. Help us by your spirit to be strong in this day. Thank you that through the cross we can overcome. So we say come Lord. In Jesus's name. Amen Wednesday 29th March Theme: Lent -> 'Abandoned' Matthew 26 v57:67 No Fear Can Handle Love Live With Abandon Dear Lord, When we consider all the emotions you went through, on your way to the Cross, we see that abandonment as one of them. Yet in this time you serve to help us in our own lives and all that we face. You are able to open up a way for us because you are beside us in the hardest moments of our lives, making a way for us even unto death. We look at Paul's hardship and persecutions and see his faith in the face of adversity. Let us find inner strength in you in those difficult days knowing you have already walked this path and been sustained by faith and love. In your name, Jesus, we pray.. Amen. https://youtube.com/watch?v=kV5iZBTNYrk https://youtube.com/watch?v=UbHvNpFIdyk Saturday 11th March Theme :Lent Rejoicing hosanna Hosanna (Be Lifted Up) Hosanna Matthew 21 v1:11, Luke 19 v28:44 Dear Lord, As we contemplate your procession to the cross we are so in awe of the plan you had to save us. Beautiful and majestic is this sacrifice and yet to some they pass by this great love gift that you made on Calvary. Lord we are overwhelmed by this occurrence that God could take on flesh and come to give away his life as a fragrant offering of love to those who would accept it. Thank you Lord Amen. https://youtube.com/watch?v=yrukH62mxMk https://youtube.com/watch?v=FBzhJLE_Xqg https://youtube.com/watch?v=Y43Z0WJLDS4 Friday 24th February Beautiful Saviour Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone) Matthew 26 v36:56 Dear Lord, As we look to Lent and Easter we see your love and grace in action. Your spirit is moving over the earth in the abundance of your love seeking after all mankind and offering your love and grace. O Lord in this passage we see how at this time the disciples couldn't stay awake. All have fallen short. Yet your grace was sufficient. You knew your will, purpose and destiny amongst those coming to arrest you and made my life in heaven possible. Lord thank you for saving me. O man who has fallen short yet saved by the Lord's hand. Blessed be your name. Wonderful Saviour. Amen. Saturday 11th February Your Love Awakens Me No Longer Slaves Matt 27 v45:54 Dear Lord, As we approach Lent on the 1st of March and the time of Jesus's crucifixion at Easter we know this is a special time when you gave your all and showed your love. Let this time be one of reflection and consideration of Your sacrifice, Lord, may we seek best how to walk as You walked, speak as You spoke and hear as You heard. All praises be to our God. Amen.
