Here For You

Obadiah 15:21

For those that stand in truth before You and those who harden their hearts and close their minds against You, there is a cut off point. There is a day that You have appointed that will start as a terrible and tragic day yet will end at the ushering in of an eternity of peace. A peace to known by Your people, who stand in truth before You and a peace never to be known by those who harden their hearts and close their minds against You. There will be no more tears. No regrets. No one will look back. It will be a time of great rejoicing, of triumph, of relief. Oh Lord! Help us align ourselves with the receiving of that day. To divulge ourselves of all pretences, to rid ourselves of passions and sins. To look upon Your face rightly, the countenance of the One, true God who created us, without fault or failing, in the mighty and precious name of Jesus. Amen.

Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me

He Lives!

Luke 9 v57:62

Today we consider the subject of home in our prayer to You, Lord God of Israel. During Your ministry on Earth You declared that the Son of Man had nowhere to lay His head. We pray for those who are homeless or in temporary accommodation. We thank You for our own place of residence. In the parable though, You talk about the wider aspect of home, as in the place that we come from or identify with. Today, if we have not already done so, let us lay down our worldly, national identity and take up or celebrate our Kingdom identity. This is our place of destination and we look forward and pray to reach there despite our failings, fixing our gaze firmly upon You. You came to take us home, and You will come again to complete this, so let us not fail in the identity test. We are not whitewashed sepulchers, we do not look back from the plough in hand, but rather we look and strain forward to the Kingdom of Heaven come upon the Earth. For Your glory and name's sake, as wild olive branches grafted in to a new vine. Amen!

My Wonderful Lord

Praise You Anywhere

1 Corinthians 14 v25:33

For Your truth to be revealed to a world that is dying, Lord God Almighty, God of Israel, God of Judah. That You are Lord of All, the Maker of the Heavens and the Earth. That the time of Your return is coming, that the gate to Your Kingdom stands open, the Risen Saviour who allows all who acknowledge Him and You to enter in, as long as they are prepared to turn from sin. To work at it, to try it, in a world that is sinful, as in 'full of sin'. We need that Saviour to bring us home. We need that guide and that forgiveness. And we need it now, so that we can tell others of the same. Help us Lord, to open our mouths and to speak boldly, without let or compromise, the Gospel of the Risen Saviour, Jesus, who is the Christ. Let Your Holy Spirit speak through us that people may be saved. Not that we be vaunted or lifted up, for we were once and ever enemies of God and the Truth, and that same Saviour, who offers the true peace now, was the One who extended His mercy towards wretches like us then. For Your glory and name's sake, and the coming of Your Kingdom to the Earth. Amen.

Nothing Is Impossible

Mark 10 v13:23

There is nothing too hard for You, King of Kings. You are awesome in power, mighty to save. When you declare that we must have child like faith in order to come to You, You were not talking of a childish faith.  Rather you were exhorting a child's enthusiasm towards new ideas and their simple joy in living much of life in trust. Help us, this day, Father, lay down our pretences and our material things that we may set our course to enter Your Kingdom, in the mighty and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
